Focus on Energy is Wisconsin utilities’ statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program. The program works with eligible Wisconsin residents to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. These energy projects:
- Help Wisconsin residents manage rising energy costs
- Promote in-state economic development
- Protect our environment
- Control Wisconsin’s growing demand for electricity
Focus on Energy is funded by the state’s investor-owned energy utilities, as required under Wis. Stat. § 196.374(2)(a), and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities. To participate in Focus on Energy programs, residents must be customers of a participating utility. All Wisconsin WPPI Energy member utilities participate in Focus on Energy through public benefits funds collected from electric customers.
